Is it slander to post someone’s death threat?
Well SpikeBravo seems to think so. He is concerned that this video makes him look bad and that others on YouTube are not wanting to work with him because of it. The thing is that video needs to stay up as a caution to those who may not know what he is capable of. When that was posted on BlogTV he was still living in Phoenix and thus he had the ability to carry out his plan. I took it serious and I went to the police station after I recorded and posted the video. Slander is defined as “a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report” dictionary.reference.com So is my video recording of his death threat malicious, no. I posted it because it is evidence, were something to happen to me the next day, he rightly would have been a suspect. Is my video recording of his death threat false, no. In his video it is clear that he is referring to me even though he is not mentioning me by name. Is my video recording of his death threat defamatory, no. All I did was post his own words on BlogTV. I added no commentary to it. People tried to warn me about him when he moved in with me, however every accusation they gave me he denied. Never before was there video evidence. People need to know that SpikeBravo will resort to such tactics when you stop helping him. As far as the parodies, first of all, these are videos that we worked on together.
