SmashFly Technologies Launches New Innovative Mobile Recruiting Solution
SmashFly Technologies Launches New Innovative Mobile Recruiting Solution
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 26, 2010
SmashFly Technologies, the creators of the first enterprise recruitment marketing platform, today announced the launch of its new Mobile Recruiting solution that enable users to leverage both inbound & outbound SMS communications in their recruitment marketing strategy. Through SmashFly’s WildFire Platform users can now simultaneously broadcast their job ads via SMS while also providing a SMS portal to enable both passive and active contacts to register with their Talent Network via a simple SMS message. This functionality is brought to users through three easy to use features.
In the WildFire Recruitment CRM, SmashFly enables users to send customized SMS messages and job ads to any contacts with a registered mobile phone number in their CRM database. Through the WildFire Job Ad Distribution Wizard, users are able to launch SMS job campaigns alongside their other recruitment marketing campaigns to recruiting channels such as job boards, social networks, email and SEM. Most importantly, SmashFly centrally provides important Recruitment Metrics for all these recruiting channels in a simple to use recruiting dashboard.
The Inbound SMS Portal feature enables candidates to easily add themselves to an employer’s Talent Network using their own cell phone. SmashFly provides employers with a dedicated phone number that they can provide candidates at recruiting events such as career fairs, networking events, trade shows, etc. As users talk to candidates, they can direct the candidates to text their email address to this dedicated phone number to add themselves to the employer’s Talent Network. Once the candidate sends their email via text, their information flows seamlessly into their Recruitment CRM and SmashFly will send a customizable email form directly to the candidate in order to capture more work related information (name, address, job title, area of expertise, etc.). Every contact collected during these events can then easily be communicated to in any future email and SMS job campaign distributed through the WildFire recruitment marketing platform.
The Recruiter SMS tool enables a way for recruiters to easily add a new contact to their CRM system wherever they have their mobile phone. Whether they meet someone at the airport or at a trade show that’s a perfect fit for their company, they simply text the person’s email address to their dedicated recruiting mobile number and the contact will automatically be added to their Recruitment CRM! The person will then be registered in their talent network and able to receive all future email and SMS recruiting communications.
“We are always looking for new innovative ways for our clients to reach more qualified candidates. Mobile is obviously an emerging technology that is becoming more and more important in the recruiting industry and we think this mobile recruiting solution will help clients easily leverage this technology to improve their overall recruitment marketing strategy,” said Mike Hennessy, founder and CEO of SmashFly Technologies.

Is it Hard to Find a Job after Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 Bankruptcy?
Is it Hard to Find a Job after Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 Bankruptcy?
Declaring bankruptcy can be a huge weight lifted off of your shoulders – but you must be careful not to fall into debt again in the months and years after you file for Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy in Missouri and Illinois. A great way to stay out of debt and rebuild your credit is to get a job with a steady, reliable paycheck.
But is it more difficult to get a job after you have declared bankruptcy? Not really. Although it is becoming more and more common for potential employers to do credit checks on potential employees, your credit score would still have been quite low if you did not declare bankruptcy. Your credit score probably isn’t ideal by the time you are ready to fiel for Missouri or Illinois Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy anyway. Bankruptcy will actually allow you to start rebuilding your credit and getting it back up to where you want it to be. Also, there are a few simple steps you can take in order to minimize the effect that your bankruptcy will have on possible employers.
First and foremost, be honest with your employer if they ask about your credit score or let you know that they will be pulling your credit records. Often, a bankruptcy is due to some catastrophic event like job loss, medical emergency, or a death in the family – if this is the case, let your interviewer know. If your bankruptcy was not due to an unforeseeable life event, explain that you have taken measure to reclaim your life and rebuild your credit. Especially with the recent financial crisis, employers will often understand that you have seen hard times and that hiring you would not be a risk.
Filing bankruptcy actually shows how responsible you really are. It means that you’ve taken the steps necessary to get credit card debt help, protection from foreclosure, or relief from those harassing creditor calls for you and your family. You got help from an experienced Missouri or Illinois bankruptcy attorney because you knew you could no longer handle the debt that you were under and still needed to protect your family. If you explain that to any employer who questions the existence of a bankruptcy on your credit, he or she will most likely understand and could even respect you for it.
Missouri Bankruptcy attorney James Brown has been working to relieve the debt of hard-working American families for over 15 years. He has dedicated his career to educating consumers about options for debt relief and has released 5 publications, including, “Get Out of Debt: Secrets Your Creditors Don’t Want You to Know.” You can request a free copy by visiting his website at http://www.CastleLaw.net .

In Show of Unity, Congressional Candidate Rob McCarthy Throws Supports Behind Bill Hudak
Danvers, MA (Vocus) October 10, 2010
The campaign of Bill Hudak, www.hudakforcongress.com, candidate for U.S. Congress in the 6th Massachusetts Congressional District, announced today that Rob McCarthy, former congressional candidate in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District, supports Bill Hudak for the United States Congress.
“Bill Hudak shares the same concerns for our country and our District that inspired me to run for Congress,” said Rob McCarthy. “America is now on an unsustainable path of deficit spending, over regulation, job killing taxation and government over-reach into health care. I’ve known Bill for over twenty years and am confident that he’ll fight hard to stop the spending madness in Washington, reduce the deficit and will work tirelessly to make sure more of our hard earned money stays in our pockets instead of being sent to Washington. Bill Hudak will bring common sense and balance back to Congress. He is someone that I personally believe will be responsive to the voters of our District and someone who will be able to step into action on the day he is elected to Congress.”
“I am humbled and extremely grateful for this show of support,” said Bill Hudak. Rob’s years of service as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps is a testament to his honor and love of this country, and he is and will always be a hero in my eyes. Since we share the same values and see eye-to-eye on virtually all of the issues facing our country, working together, I’m absolutely certain that we will be able to unseat a man who has lost touch with his District.”
About Rob McCarthy
Rob is a graduate of Boston College and New England Law in Boston. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a juris doctorate in law. After law school, Rob voluntarily joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was commissioned an officer. While in the Marine Corps, Rob was trained in leadership, warfare and military law at Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA, The Basic School in Quantico, VA and Military Justice School at the Naval War College in Newport, RI. He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps after reaching the rank of Major.
Currently, Rob operates a small law practice in Saugus where he lives with his wife and three children. He is an elected member of the Saugus Republican Town Committee and has been active in local politics for a number of years. Rob is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the military courts of the United States, the United States Court of Military Appeals and the United States District Court in Boston.

Cigar Lovers and Industry Pros Have a New Place to ?Smoke? Online: The Stogie?d Network
Silver Spring, MD (PRWEB) September 30, 2010
The Stogie’d Network, a new network of Websites tailored to cigar lovers and the professionals who serve them, has launched with three initial properties serving the entire cigar community.
“The Stogie’d Network is all about bringing a next-generation of community-based Websites for those who love cigars,” said Bob Woods, publisher and managing editor of The Stogie’d Network. “We’re building a network that appeals to different segments of the community, with those parts being united under the Stogie’d brand.”
Woods is combining his love of cigars with his 25-plus years of experience as a TV and Web journalist, editor, social-media professional, and Web and community developer to both launch and guide The Stogie’d Network.
The network will also encourage cigar and tobacco-related professionals to join, “as we know they love cigars as much as their customers,” Woods said.
Stogie’d
At the hub of this network is the Stogie’d Website, which provides information, commentary and community features in a blog format for cigar lovers and industry professionals alike. Coverage includes news and feature stories, editorials, and an “Impact” section that hosts reader discussions of the news and trends affecting the cigar industry. The site also spotlights the efforts of what it generically calls the “PC Patrol,” or those who want to restrict a cigar smoker’s enjoyment of their beloved stogie.
Videos and audio podcasts are also planned, and will be produced and marketed under the Stogie’d brand. Stogie’d is also seeking out both new bloggers and those with an already-established presence to round out its coverage for the cigar community.
A fully upgraded Stogie’d with improvements and feature additions is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2010. The upgrade site will have full community-building features, including member blogs, discussion boards, and the ability to form interest groups, among others. Stogie’d will also have a separate area for cigar and tobacco professionals, who will also have the full capability to interact with the Stogie’d community at large.
Stogie’d will continue to provide its own branded news, features, videos and audio podcasts after the upgraded site launches.
Stogie’d is at http://stogied.com, and also is on Twitter: @stogiedweb.
Stogie’d TV
A virtual one-stop “shop” of cigar-related videos, Stogie’d TV serves those who are seeking information in video form about their beloved stogies. An editorial process ensures selected videos from public video sites are of genuine interest to cigar lovers.
The site spotlights one truly great video each week, and gives it top placement at the site. Overall, subjects like “retrohaling,” repairing cigars and proper cigar techniques are among the more than 40 cigar-related videos already at Stogie’d TV. The site is updated several times a week with fresh videos, which come from a wide variety of cigar lovers, blogs and retailers, among other sources.
Stogie’d TV will also prominently feature videos from the staff of the main Stogie’d site, as well as from bloggers who contribute videos to the Stogie’d site.
The site is located at http://stogied.tv, and its Twitter feed is at @stogiedtv.
Cigar Gigs
Aimed squarely at the cigar and tobacco professional, Cigar Gigs is a job listing and resource site for those who work in the industry.
The site casts its net a bit wider than what you might expect from one named Cigar Gigs, as it includes non-traditional cigar jobs like business analysts, engineers and information technology specialists. All companies with job postings on the site, though, are tied to the cigar and tobacco industry, and include manufacturers; distributors; wholesalers; manufacturers’ representatives; Web-based retailers; and local tobacconists and shops.
Five levels, or packages of job ads are available, ranging from no charge to a “Presidente” level that ensures the visibility of an ad throughout the entire Stogie’d Network. The site also contains listings from other job- and career-related sites.
Cigar Gigs is located at http://cigargigs.com, and is on Twitter: @cigargigs.
All sites in The Stogie’d Network will continue to be upgraded and enhanced with new features throughout 2010 and 2011, and will also include suggestions from the Stogie’d community. Other sites and services are planned as well.

The Involvement Of The Family In The Alcohol Treatment Program In Missouri
The Involvement Of The Family In The Alcohol Treatment Program In Missouri
It may be absolutely right to say that the alcohol treatment program in Missouri would not be much of a success if the family wasn’t involved to the extent it is. Right from the first step of the program, i.e. from convincing the patient to get into treatment to the final stage of treatment which includes the maintenance medication and the monitoring of the patient’s condition, the family is an integral part in the entire treatment program.
Let us see the various ways in which the family helps in the alcohol treatment program in Missouri.
1. Bringing the Patient to the Treatment
The first main job that the family has to perform is to convince the patient to get into treatment. This is no mean task when it comes to alcohol addiction treatment. Substance abuse resources in Missouri have revealed that at least 90% of all alcoholics are denying their addiction to some extent or the other. This includes the classic alcoholic who never wants to believe that their alcohol consumption is beyond safe limits and also the alcoholic patient who simply does not want to get into addiction treatment because they are skeptical what the treatment will contain and what they will be made to do.
Here the family has to form an intervention group and motivate the patient into accepting the treatment. They can work in collaboration with an intervention specialist attached to a treatment center who can guide them on what they must say to the patient that can exhort them into getting into treatment. This is an important program that the family has to conduct; it is the program that will motivate the patients into overcoming their vehement denial and accept the kind of treatment that is being decided for them. This is by far the most significant contribution of the family.
2. Selecting the Right Treatment Option for the Patient
Once the patient has agreed to go through the treatment, it is the job of the family intervention group to select the right kind of treatment for the patient. Once again, this task is not quite easy to perform. There are several forms of addiction treatment in Missouri and it becomes quite difficult to decide which of these will be the right option for the patient.
Families would meet with counselors for substance abuse treatment in the state and learn from them what different treatment options are available. Then they would ask the counselors to suggest them a proper treatment option depending on the condition of the patient. Some of them would also help the families to secure their admission and carry out the enrollment process smoothly.
3. Keeping Track of how the Treatment is Progressing
Families are not meant to leave the patient in the lurch once the admission in the treatment center is done. Even here the family will need to keep abreast of how the treatment program is progressing. They must know what kind of effect the treatment is having on the patient and in case there is any problem, they should not flinch from consulting with the treatment providers on it.
The need for keeping updated about the treatment program becomes more important when the treatment program is an inpatient program where the patient will be kept in isolated surroundings. Sometimes patients would not like the treatment option and would like to quit midway. In these cases, the families must be understanding, but must explain the patient why it is important to complete the treatment.
4. Attending the Family Counseling Program
Families have a counseling program for themselves which are usually conducted towards the end of the treatment program for the patient. All families of the various patients at the treatment centers are called at one time. They are given accommodation for about three days. During this period, the families will be made to communicate with each other. This acts as a great energy boost. When the families come to know that there are other families in their city who are battling a similar addiction problem as they are, it helps motivate them to go ahead with the treatment.
One more thing that the family is actively taught during these counseling programs is how to cope with the situation. Families might develop some or the other emotional issues of their own if not handled carefully. This counseling helps families to discuss these potential problems and seek solutions for the same.
They are also taught what they must do when the patient returns home after treatment and how they must follow certain relapse treatment practices.
