Sen. Mark Begich appeared on Fox News Channel’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto” after President Obama announced his support for expanded oil and gas exploration in Alaskas Outer Continental Shelf. Stressing the importance of a long-term energy plan for the country’s national and economic security, Sen. Begich said, “What’s good for Alaska is going to be good for this country.” Responsible development in the Beaufort and Chukchi seas will create thousands of Alaska jobs and provide billions of barrels of oil and trillions of cubic feet of natural gas. The interview took place on April 6, 2010.
